The Nuriye Güneyi Natural Sciences Award, established by Prof. Dr. Celâl Şengör to honor Nuriye Güneyi, a former Işık High School teacher who inspired his career in geology, is presented annually to the top 11th-grade student in natural sciences. Melis Elmas from FMV Private Erenköy Işık Science High School won first place, followed by Beyza Aru from FMV Private Ispartakule Işık High School in second, and Irmak Cebeci from FMV Private Ayazağa Işık High School in third.

Melis Elmas will receive her award during the FMV Foundation Anniversary Celebrations on December 14. The jury also recognized Erdem Zengin, Emine Zeynep Adalı, Aylin Kahvecioğlu, and Ela Feriha Durgunoğlu, candidates from FMV schools, and thanked their families and teachers for their contributions.
