18 March 1915… Today is the 106th anniversary of our historical naval victory that we shouted both our desire to live independently and the “impassability” of Çanakkale and our homeland. In honor of this important day, first of all, Feyziye Schools Foundation (FMV) Işık High School students placed a wreath on Atatürk’s bust. After the wreath ceremony, our students listened to Social Studies Teacher Melek Duman Güngör’s speech emphasizing the meaning and the importance of the day. Then, they watched a documentary about the unknown sides of the Battle of Gallipoli written in history in gold letters. We remember Great Leader Atatürk, his brothers in arms and our valuable martyrs who risked death for the sake of the country at a young age with respect.
