14.03.2022MODERN WORLD DEBATES 2022 INTERNATIONAL DEBATE TOURNAMENT
FMV Ayazağa Işık High School and Science High School Debate Club students became the only school representing Turkey in the international tournament called "MWD 2022 Online Debate Tournament", in which 184 high school students from 11 different countries competed with 46 teams between 14-15-16 of January 2022.
Altan Ege Koçyiğit, Ayşe Deren Aktürk, Arda Kaz, Defne Güler, Ege Karagöz, Feride Duru Özköse, İrem Deniz Kaynak, Mehveş Gökhan, Nil Sarper, Nisan Helvacı, Ömer Karaman, Talya İris Tokbaş, Yağız Efe Çam and Ela Uçan played 4 matches with the teams of United Arab Emirates, South Korea and India, each lasting approximately one hour. Before the tournament, our students had the opportunity to attend a 2-hour Debate training on January 14, 2022.
Our 9th grade student Ayşe Deren Aktürk took part in the panel where the youth's voice to sustainable social change tools was discussed. During the 30-minute panel, together with young people from 10 other countries participating in the panel, our student received great appreciation for the successful answers she gave to the questions asked by the moderator, representing Turkey.
Our students have improved in expressing themselves in English on an international platform and represented their country with pleasing success in the prestigious tournament attended by many students from different countries.
We congratulate our Debate Society Club students who successfully represented our school by participating in the tournament and wish them continued success.

14.03.2022FMV AYAZAĞA IŞIK HIGH SCHOOL DEBATE SOCIETY STUDENTS AT EURASIAN SCHOOLS DEBATE 2022ONLINE DEBATE TOURNAMENTFMV Ayazağa Işık High School and Science High School Debate Club students participated in theinternational tournament called "Eurasion Schools Debate 2022 Online Debate Tournament", in which384 high school students from 18 different countries competed with 96 teams.Our students Naz Erdoğdu, Nil Birgen, Yağız Efe Çam and Bora Umur Dilek had 6 matches with the teamsof Romania, Greece, Vietnam and China, each lasting approximately one hour.We congratulate our students who successfully represented both our school and our country byparticipating in the tournament and wish them continued success. -

The painting exhibition created by Bulut Altun was opened on January 21, 2022. The exhibition can be seen at the entrance of Block A, or visited online until February 18, 2022.

TUBITAK Science Olympics Success
14.03.2022Our 11th grade student Arda Kaz passed the pre-qualifications for the 29th TUBITAK Science Olympics in the computer branch and will take the 2nd stage exam which will be held on January 6-9, 2022. We wish him all the best in his next exam.

14.03.2022FMV AYAZAĞA IŞIK HIGH SCHOOL AND SCIENCE HIGH SCHOOL INTERACT CLUB’S“WORLD LOVE DAY EVENT’’FMV Ayazağa Işık High School and Science High School Interact Club studentscelebrated World Love Day with different activities. Our students sold flowers and usedthe proceeds to support the KODA (Village Schools Exchange Network). We congratulateour students for their meaningful contribution. -

The girls orienteering team consisting of Derin ÜRETEN, Maya KOSOVA, Bahar Aylin BALİNT and Ada KAVLAKOĞLU, who took 2nd place, and the boys orienteering team consisting of Kayra Devin UFUK, Efe Demir ÖZBEK, Deniz DANIŞMAN, Kaan BOZKURT, Ahmet Alper ALTAN and Berk ÇAPÇI, who ranked 4th in the İstanbul Orienteering Championship held in Kağıthane Hasbahçe Recreation Area on February 23, 2022, visited our school principal Mr. Özgür ALPER.
Mr. ALPER congratulated both teams and wished Derin ÜRETEN, the Istanbul champion, and the girls team in the National Championship.
