After the official signing of the World Water Day decision by the United Nations General Assembly on March 22, 1993, March 22 is celebrated as "World Water Day" worldwide every year. Our 11th-grade students from FMV Ayazağa Işık High School and Science High School have carried out various activities in their Geography lessons to draw attention to the importance of water resources, prevent the unwise depletion of water resources, reduce the amount of polluted water, and inform their schoolmates about water conservation.

As part of these activities, our students have calculated their water footprint, watched short documentaries explaining the importance of water, and supported the "Clean When Beautiful" project, implemented in collaboration with the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality and the Beykoz Kızılay Branch, by contributing to the cleaning of waste on the surface of the Istanbul Strait through online support.
