CEREMONY OF “18 MARCH ÇANAKKALE VICTORY AND MARTYRS’ DAY”
The 109th anniversary of the Çanakkale Victory, which occurred on March 18th, 1915, was marked by the Turkish army under the leadership of the Anafartalar Hero Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, reshaping the course of history and composing an unprecedented saga for independence and homeland defense. It was celebrated with a ceremony organized by FMV Ayazağa Işık Elementary School.
The ceremony, organized for the "18th March Çanakkale Victory and Martyrs Commemoration Day," commenced with the laying of wreaths and a moment of silence at the Atatürk Bust by the school principals. On this auspicious day, where the destiny of the Turkish nation was altered and the phrase 'Çanakkale is impassable!' became etched in history, the poems recited and songs performed by our students during the ceremony evoked moments of pride for all attendees.
On the 109th anniversary of the Çanakkale Epic, we commemorate once more with gratitude and respect the Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, his nameless comrades who were heroes of this great saga, and all our martyrs.
