HISTORY MEETINGS: “The LAST DAYS OF ATATÜRK, THE Liberation of SAVARONA AND HATAY”
Within the scope of "History Meetings" and "84th Anniversary of the Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's passing" Mr. Dr. Orhan ÇEKİÇ, Mustafa Kemal Association Chairman, Atatürkology Institute Founder, Historian, Writer, and Academician came together with our valuable guests, teachers, and students at the conference titled "Atatürk's Last Days, Savarona and Hatay's Liberation"
Mr. ÇEKİÇ, who began his speech by stating that Atatürk did not prioritize state issues, particularly the Hatay issue, and that he prioritized state issues above all, said that Atatürk's strategies in the process of Hatay's accession to the homeland and the Savarona yacht from Germany to Turkey. During his visit to Turkey, he shared information about the US President Franklin D. Roosevelt and German Chancellor Adolf Hitler's attitudes.
The significance of Atatürk's revolutions in the creation of a fully independent and modern Turkey, as well as the development of Turkish society, was emphasized at the conference.
