We are just like you with an extra chromosome! As part of the social responsibility projects planned by the FMV Ayazağa Işık High School and Science High School Social Sciences Department, the first Down Syndrome Awareness Meeting' was held on October 11, 2023, with the participation of Down Cafe Supervisor, Architect Mr. Saruhan Singen, along with Görkem, a person with Down syndrome, and his mother. After providing information about Down Cafe’s purpose and activities, Singen emphasized the importance of individuals with Down syndrome being confident, skilled, happy, and socially integrated adults, emphasizing that with greater involvement in all areas of life, societal prejudices will be diminished.
