LIBRARY MEETINGS: RUTKAY AZIZ
As part of FMV Ayazağa Işık High School and Science High School’s Library Meetings, actor Rutkay Aziz met with our students for a talk on "Atatürk and the Republic” on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at 11:35 AM.
Rutkay Aziz, a giant of modern Turkish theater, shared thoughts on Atatürk, the Republic, history, and art. With regard to our recent history, Mr. Aziz shared with our students the honor of portraying Mustafa Kemal Atatürk in the TV series Kurtuluş and the film Cumhuriyet. According to our guest, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk is a unique leader, and young people have significant roles to play in the historical panorama of our republic. Mr. Aziz also drew attention to the value of art and the immortality of theater that lives through emotions, emphasizing the justified pride he feels in being on stage.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the great master Aziz Ünal Rutkay, known to all of us as Rutkay Aziz, who has staged dozens of plays, appeared on stage countless times, and won many awards, for contributing to our students' world of thought and historical enlightenment through this valuable talk.
