"THE RELATIONSHIP OF OPPRESSOR-OPPRESSED IN THE LENS OF LITERATURE" E-TWINNING PROJECT: INTERVIEW WITH FUAT SEVIMAY
Students from FMV Ayazağa Işık High School 11 IB and 11 F classes, and Terakki Foundation High School students, came together for the interview of the Writer and Translator Fuat SEVİMAY in the first stage of the jointly organized "The Relationship of Oppressor-Oppressed in the Lens of Literature" e-Twinning Project.
Starting with the interview recording consisting of questions such as "Can you define inequality and justice?" "In your opinion, in which areas are the greatest inequalities experienced in the world?", "What is the first thing that comes to your mind when the oppressor-oppressed conflict is mentioned?" directed towards the school communities by the students, and their answers, Writer and Translator Fuat SEVİMAY interactively addressed "the relationship of oppressor-oppressed in literature" with our students through examples from his works such as Kapalıçarşı, Aynalı, Ara Nağme, and his translations from James Joyce, Dubliners, Ulysses, as well as examples from Turkish and world literature.
The second stage of our project, aimed at our students from different school cultures finding universal problems addressed in literature through peer solidarity, will be hosted at the Tepeören Campus of Terakki Foundation on Saturday, May 11th.
