THEMATIC ANALYSIS OF GEORGE ORWELL'S "1984" NOVEL THROUGH THE CREATIVE DRAMA METHOD
Within the scope of the 10th-grade Turkish Language and Literature course at FMV Ayazağa Işık Science High School, a study session utilizing the creative drama method to explore George Orwell's "1984" novel was conducted on March 1, 2024.
The achievements of creative drama align with interpretation, explanation, problem-solving, reasoning, creative and critical thinking, awareness, coordination of mind and body, creating group dynamics, and effective use of the body. In this context, our students have questioned concepts such as power, oppression, struggle, justice, hope, despair, pressure, conflict, subjugation, rebellion, belief, and idealism through the portrayals they performed based on George Orwell's "1984" novel, which was determined at the beginning of the academic year.
We congratulate all our students who participated in the activity and wish them continued success.
