UNESCO: SUCCESS OF SEMEP PROJECT
On May 4, 2024, MEV Büyükçekmece Schools, serving as the Marmara Region Coordinator, hosted the presentation of SEMEP (South Eastern Mediterranean Environment Project), one of UNESCO's global environmental education initiatives.
Out of 58 participating schools, our students' project, titled "Sustainable Smart Cities Addressing the Global Climate Crisis amidst Natural Disasters, Alternative Agricultural Projects, and Enhancements in Natural and Organic Farming Processes," was awarded the "Best Resource Study Presentation." Additionally, our students were honored with a commendation plaque for their impactful social media campaigns raising awareness about "Global Climate Change."
We extend our congratulations to our students and our geography teacher for their invaluable contributions to the project.
